My name is Olivia West. I graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX in December 2019 with a major in Fashion Media and minor in Photography and Art History.

As a senior at SMU, I had the opportunity for hands-on experience with a variety of media. Multiple topics were explored through my course work and assignments creating a skill set that includes, Google Analytics (certified), blog writing, news writing, social media, trend analysis of fashion design, the economics of fashion as well as social and cultural trends.

I have been responsible for content creation for weekly blog posts, feature stories, and social media posts.

My videography skills include content creation, shooting, and editing footage with Adobe Premiere. At SMU-TV, I worked on the Daily Update, a weekly newscast, where I worked as technical director, camera operator, audio and server. I am proficient using iNews, TV-Studio cameras, and Sony NX5U HD Camera. 

My photography skills include digital editing using Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop and darkroom techniques for developing analog images from 35mm film. I am also, proficient in making black and white digital negatives for darkroom printing and development. My expertise includes shooting with the Nikon D7200, Nikon EM (35mm film), Leica M6 (35mm film) and Olympus-Pen EE3 (35mm film).

The rigor involved in my course work taught me how to prioritize tasks, manage my time and meet important deadlines.
